We are a group of African-rooted artists of many cultural backgrounds and origins. We embrace and represent our rich heritage through the work we do as a company --the cultures of Africa and the cultures of the African Diaspora.

Silimbo Drummers

Silimbo D'Adeane West African Dance and Drum Company was founded by Fatou N'Diaye. In addition to leading her dancers and drummers in dance and song, Fatou N'Diaye regularly teaches Senegalese dance at the Dance Complex in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

To the benefit of her students, Fatou N'Diaye has showcased many West African Master teachers to her classes: Malang Bayo, Coura N'Diaye, Tenefig Dioubate, Sekou Sylla, Yalani Bangoura, Demba Senne, Marie Cisse, Bintou Conate, Abdoulaye Sylla and many, many other master dancers have brought their art to her classes.
In 2008, Sister Fatou is planning a West African Tour to Senegal and a Dance and Drum Conference in the fall.
